David Rabeling

Dr. David Rabeling is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics within the College of Science at the Australian National University. He is an active member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, contributing to numerous gravitational wave detection and analysis efforts. His work focuses on gravitational wave physics with emphasis on binary black hole and neutron star systems.

Dr. Rabeling's research spans multiple areas of gravitational wave astronomy, including data analysis techniques for LIGO detectors, tests of general relativity using gravitational wave signals, and the study of binary compact object mergers. His work on the GW170817 event (the first observed binary neutron star merger) has been particularly significant, contributing to our understanding of neutron star properties, equation of state, and multi-messenger astronomy.
