David Paul is a Professor in the Department of Movement Sciences at the University of Idaho's College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from The Ohio State University and teaches courses including Physiology of Exercise, Design and Analysis of Research, and Advanced Physiology of Exercise.
His research focuses on epidemiology of physical activity, measurement methodologies for physical activity and food intake, and physical activity promotion in children. He leads projects involving dugout canoe carving and investigates seasonal impacts on physiological stress. His work bridges exercise physiology with public health interventions.
Paul has published extensively on physical activity measurement, cardiac responses to exercise, and community health surveillance.
