David Papandria is an Instructor in-Residence and Assistant Department Head of Undergraduate Programs in the Accounting Department at the University of Connecticut’s School of Business. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Marian College (now Marian University) and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1977.
His expertise focuses on community banking/financial services and not-for-profits. He has held significant roles, including Audit Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (1989–2005) and Audit Staff (1977–1989). His professional service includes editorial roles in the Accounting Department Newsletter and mentorship in the PwC Case Challenge. He also chairs committees such as the Accounting Department Curriculum Committee and the University of Connecticut Classroom Committee.
Notable awards include the 2005 Outstanding Accountant Award from UConn and the 1990 Distinguished Alumni Award from Marian College. His publication, Executive’s Tax & Management Report, addresses FIN 48 compliance in business contexts.
David is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Connecticut Society of CPAs. He actively contributes to community initiatives, serving on boards like Junior Achievement of Southwest New England and as President of the Parish Council of Church of St. Ann.
