Professor David Palmer is affiliated with the University of Strathclyde as a Professor in Pure and Applied Chemistry. He obtained his MChem from the University of Sheffield and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge.

- Postdoctoral research: Aarhus University (2008-2011), Max Planck Institute (2011-2012)
Research Interests: Development of molecular simulation and informatics methods for industrial applications at the interface of biochemistry and chemical physics. Focus areas include computational drug discovery (AstraZeneca, GSK, Pfizer collaborations) and enzyme design for food manufacturing (Chr. Hansen A/S). Expertise spans solvation thermodynamics, molecular dynamics, machine learning, and biophysics.

- Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship (2012)
Collaborations & Grants: Principal Investigator for Dxcover and Penrhos Bio PhD studentships. Co-investigator in EPSRC-funded projects related to molecule design beyond Lipinski space.
