David Offner

David Offner is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University's Mellon College of Science. He teaches combinatorics and mentors undergraduate researchers.

His research focuses on combinatorial problems including packing/decomposition problems, polychromatic coloring problems, and pursuit-evasion games on graphs. His publications reflect a strong emphasis on discrete mathematics and graph theory applications.

Offner has mentored numerous undergraduate researchers on accessible combinatorial problems. He serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies, overseeing academic programs and student advising.
