معرفی
David Mersing is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry at West Virginia University (WVU), part of the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry (1997) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (2022), both from WVU. His teaching focuses on preparatory and general chemistry, along with physical chemistry laboratory instruction.
Research interests include nonlinear dynamics in chemical systems, chemical oscillators, and electrochemical analysis. His work explores phenomena such as spiral wave behavior, synchronization in coupled oscillators, and reaction-diffusion systems. He has contributed to studies on light-sensitive Belousov-Zhabotinsky systems, precipitation reaction dynamics, and electrode materials for electrochemical applications.
David Mersing is located in 152B Chemistry Research Labs. His courses include CHEM 110, 115, and advanced physical chemistry lab modules (CHEM 346L/347L). No formal advisees or grants are listed here, but his teaching and research activities reflect a commitment to both education and experimental chemical dynamics.
