David Meltzer

David Meltzer is a Lecturer in Race and the Law, International Justice and Human Rights at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), where he has taught since 2012 within the School of Law. His role encompasses Foundation Year Introduction to Law and Individual Project in Law modules.

Meltzer's research centers on the Laws of War and theoretical frameworks of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. He consistently examines not only legal statutes but also normative ideals, focusing particularly on Constitutional Law and Human Rights.

As a dedicated educator, he serves as a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT), actively mentors Foundation Year Law students, and guides third-year Human Rights research projects. He further supports student recruitment through innovative legal-thinking educational games.
