David M. Siegel

David M. Siegel is a Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Law and Social Responsibility at New England Law. His expertise spans Criminal Law, Juvenile Justice, Legal Ethics, and Forensic Science. He is a co-founder of the New England Innocence Project and has extensive experience in indigent defense, post-conviction DNA testing, and pro bono legal services.

He has taught and conducted workshops in China on legal ethics and sentencing.

Recent publications include analyses of Clean Slate initiatives (2023), prosecutorial discipline (2024), and electronic interrogation recording (2015). His articles emphasize criminal justice reform, privacy rights, and legal accountability.
