David M. Green, M.D., M.S. serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, while holding key leadership roles including Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor, Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Michael E. DeBakey VAMC, Deputy Chief of the Operative Care Line, and Site Residency Director for Orthopedic Surgery at the VAMC.
Dr. Green earned his MD from UTMB-Galveston in 1999 with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, completed orthopedic residency at Baylor College of Medicine (2005), and pursued Sports Medicine Fellowship training at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. His clinical expertise spans operative and non-operative sports medicine management with specialized focus on arthroscopic techniques for shoulder, knee, and elbow pathologies, including acute cartilage injury research presented at orthopaedic conferences.
At Michael E. DeBakey VAMC, he manages comprehensive orthopedic care for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow conditions within the Veterans Affairs system. His professional credentials include board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and specialized Sports Medicine certification.
