Dr. David M. Gides is a Professor of Theology at the University of Providence, where he has served since 2018. He specializes in the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the intersection of theology with political considerations. Previously, he taught at institutions including Manhattan College, Fordham University, Emmanuel College, Christian Brothers University, Mount Mercy University, and Marian University.
His research focuses on Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s theological contributions and their relevance to modern political discourse. He actively participates in Catholic Social Teaching seminars at UP and contributes to diaconate intellectual formation for the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings. Dr. Gides also engages with the broader community through speaking engagements on the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
