David M. Doto

David M. Doto is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, teaching negotiation, mediation, and conflict management systems design since 2013. As a Partner at Hutchison & Steffen, PLLC, he maintains a four-decade civil litigation practice representing individuals to Fortune 100 companies in state and federal courts across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada.

His educational credentials include dual B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from Villanova University (1986), a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law (1991), and an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution with Certificates in Dynamic Group Facilitation, Conflict Management Systems Design, Mindfulness in Legal Practice, Settlement Decision Making, and Advanced Mediation Skills from Pepperdine University.

Specializing in Alternative Dispute Resolution since 2008, his research and professional work emphasizes practical conflict transformation through mediation, negotiation, and organizational conflict management systems. He co-founded the Conflict Transformation Institute of CoralBridge Partners (2011-2015) and provides customized training in de-escalation, high-conflict personality management, and mediation advocacy for corporations, law firms, and government agencies nationwide.

His civic leadership includes co-founding the American Academy of Alternative Dispute Resolution and serving on Nevada State Bar committees.
