Dr. David Logan is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide's School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, with a joint appointment at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI). His expertise spans applied entomology, focusing on arthropod pest biology, ecology, and spatial approaches like GIS. He currently leads a Wine Australia project on grapevine scale insects and collaborates on slug pest research funded by GRDC. He supervises Beck Stevens' PhD on hail netting effects on apple arthropod diversity.
Education includes a PhD on sugarcane scarab pests from the University of Queensland, preceded by roles as a research technician and medical entomologist. His career spans institutions in Australia and New Zealand, including work on kiwifruit and avocado pests.
