David Krueger serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research within the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Montreal, where he contributes to both teaching and research in artificial intelligence.
His research focuses on critical AI frontier areas including:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- AI Safety
- AI Governance
- Computer Science
Dr. Krueger currently supervises PhD candidate Alan Chan on "Technical methods for governing AI agents" (2025), exploring frameworks for aligning AI behavior with human values. He teaches graduate seminars IFT6760B and IFT6760C in machine learning, emphasizing advanced algorithmic techniques and ethical implementation.
