Dr. David Klein Cerrejon is a Researcher at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPW) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, specializing in drug formulation and delivery. His work focuses on bioinspired devices for buccal delivery of macromolecular drugs and sensor technologies for environmental monitoring. He is a co-founder of Transire Bio, a startup advancing non-invasive drug delivery systems. Cerrejon holds a PhD in Drug Formulation and Delivery from ETH Zurich and a Master’s in Chemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany. His research integrates nanotechnology, materials science, and biomedical engineering to address challenges in drug delivery and environmental sensing.
Research Interests: Bioinspired drug delivery systems, buccal mucosal absorption enhancement, nanoparticle-based sensors, and formaldehyde/NO₂ detection technologies.
