David Kelsell

Professor David Kelsell is a Professor of Human Molecular Genetics at Queen Mary University of London's Blizard Institute, leading the Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research Centre. His research focuses on genetic mechanisms underlying skin diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer, with significant contributions to understanding palmoplantar keratodermas, desmoplakin-associated cardiomyopathies, and iRhom2 signaling pathways. He has held roles such as Deputy Director of Research at the Blizard Institute (2013–2017), President of the European Society of Dermatological Research (2018–2019), and editorial positions in journals like Cell & Tissue Research and Journal of Investigative Dermatology.
