David Javaloyas Molina

David Javaloyas Molina is a Lecturer at the Department of History and Theory of Art, University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). He has been an assistant lecturer at UIB since 2011 and is a member of the Material Culture and Archaeological Heritage Management research group (ArqueoUIB).

• BA in History (2005), University of Barcelona
• MA in Strategies Research in Prehistory (2008), Complutense University of Madrid

His research focuses on history of archaeology, prehistory of the Balearic Islands, cultural resources management (with emphasis on cultural tourism and local development), and ethnoarchaeology. He has participated in R&D projects and excavation grants from Spain's Ministry of Culture.

Scientific Awards:

• Predoctoral researcher Fellow (Ministry of Education of Spain, 2005-2009)

He has conducted international research stays at the University of Glasgow (2007), University of Chicago (2008), University of Ghana (2010-2013), and University of Cambridge (2012). In Spain, he has collaborated with the Complutense University of Madrid and University of Barcelona.

Lecturer Molina teaches Prehistory II in the History degree program at UIB (2020-21 to 2024-25 academic years) and offers office hours by appointment.
