David J. Cline is an Associate Extension Professor at Auburn University's School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences. As an aquaculture specialist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, he focuses on aquaculture education, freshwater fish production, and pond management. With over 30 years of experience in commercial and educational aquaculture sectors, he addresses industry challenges through multi-state projects and international collaborations.
His research examines sustainable aquaculture practices, fish production optimization, and ecosystem management. He has served on the USDA national aquaculture extension steering committee for over a decade and shares expertise through educational videos reaching over 100 countries.
