معرفی
David Hofman is a Professor of Physics and Executive Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago. His research focuses on experimental high-energy nuclear physics, particularly the study of quark-gluon plasma through heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC colliders.
- Education: BS in Physics from Hope College (1987); PhD in Physics from SUNY Stony Brook (1994)
Research interests include relativistic nuclear collisions, detector physics, and particle production dynamics. His work involves collaborations with STAR, CMS, PHOBOS, and E917 experimental groups. Hofman has contributed to key studies on collision geometry scaling, particle ratios in Cu+Cu collisions, and transverse momentum distributions in pp collisions at 7 TeV. He holds administrative leadership roles in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
