David Ho

David Ho is a Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, affiliated with the Biogeochemical Signals (BSI) Department and the Airborne Trace Gas Measurements research group. His work focuses on atmospheric and earth system modeling, the carbon cycle, satellite-based remote sensing, and data assimilation techniques.

Research and Projects: He contributes to the RiGHGorous project, which aims to develop an operational national Integrated Greenhouse Gas Monitoring System for Germany, particularly for the German Weather Service. His research involves high-resolution data assimilation systems, remote sensing data analysis, and ensemble simulations to evaluate greenhouse gas exchanges. He also works on WRG-GHG and ICON-ART simulation projects across Europe and Germany.

Presentations: Ho has presented at international conferences, including the EGU General Assembly 2024, DACH2022, and AGU2021, focusing on regional CH4 inversions and reducing transport errors in WRF modeling of greenhouse gases.
