David Haig

David Haig is a Professor and Senior Honorary Research Fellow at the UWA Oceans Institute, The University of Western Australia. His research focuses on marine geology, palaeoclimatology, and biostratigraphy with expertise in Foraminifera studies, palaeontology, and petroleum geology. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through his work on environmental and geological systems.

Education: Holds BSc and PhD degrees from Queensland University.

Research Interests: Specializes in basin analysis, biogeography of marine microfossils, and sedimentological processes.
