David Gibson is a Professor of Medicine at the Ulster University School of Medicine, and serves as Research Group Lead at the Personalised Medicine Centre. With a PhD in Cancer Research from Queen’s University Belfast, he has over two decades of experience in proteomics, biomarker discovery, and pharmacogenomics.
- Specializes in rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory diseases
- Developed BloodTrackR for home-based arthritis monitoring
- Created machine learning tool ATRPred for anti-TNF treatment decisions
- Current research spans biomarker validation and drug-gene compatibility
