David Gesbert is a Professor and Director at EURECOM in Sophia Antipolis, France. He earned a Ph.D. from TelecomParis (France) in 1997 and has held academic positions at Stanford University (1997-1999), University of Oslo (prior to 2004), and currently leads EURECOM's research initiatives. His work bridges wireless communications and artificial intelligence, focusing on distributed IoT networks.
Research Interests include cooperative machine learning for IoT systems, spectrum management, energy-efficient resource allocation, and decentralized wireless network design. He pioneered MIMO-OFDM technology through his role at Iospan Wireless (now Intel).
