Dr. David G. Foster is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Rochester's Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His research spans fundamental transport phenomena, computational fluid dynamics, and biomedical applications of nanotechnology.
Research focuses on developing computational methods for fluid dynamics, creating nanoparticle coatings for biomedical applications including cancer cell capture, and investigating electrochemical deposition processes. His publications demonstrate consistent focus on interfacial phenomena and computational approaches.
Honors include multiple teaching awards recognizing his educational contributions:
- Undergraduate Engineering Professor of the Year (2011-2012)
- Undergraduate Engineering Professor of the Year (2006-2007)
- Special Recognition Award, American Chemical Society (2006)
Teaches core chemical engineering courses including transport phenomena, separation processes, and computational fluid dynamics at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
