David Foley

David Foley is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia (UWA), affiliated with the UWA Medical School and the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy and specializes in pediatric infectious diseases, virology, and public health interventions. His research focuses on respiratory viruses like RSV, HIV postexposure prophylaxis, congenital syphilis diagnostics, and the impact of pandemic-related measures on viral transmission. He has contributed to over 29 peer-reviewed publications and completed a doctoral thesis analyzing SARS-CoV-2 NPIs' effects on respiratory viruses.
