David Ettinger serves as a Professor of Economics at Paris Dauphine-PSL University and is an active member of the Dauphine Economics Laboratory. He joined the institution in 2012 after previously holding a lectureship at the University of Cergy-Pontoise, and directed the Dauphine Economics Laboratory from 2015 to 2020.
His academic foundation includes a doctorate from EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales), specifically through its Economics School of Management.
Ettinger's research centers on game theory, industrial organization, bounded rationality, and auction theory. His work explores strategic decision-making frameworks, market structure dynamics, cognitive limitations in economic behavior, and auction mechanism design. These interconnected fields address fundamental questions about competitive interactions and institutional efficiency in economic systems.
