Dr David Dyason is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Land Management and Systems at Lincoln University, New Zealand, with a concurrent appointment as Extraordinary Research Scientist at the TRADE Research Focus Area, North-West University, South Africa. His current administrative responsibilities include serving as Programme Director for the Bachelor of Land and Property Management and Graduate Diplomas in Valuation and Property Management at Lincoln University, alongside his role on the Faculty Teaching Committee since 2021.
Dr Dyason earned his PhD, MCom, and BCom in Economics from North-West University, South Africa, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Valuation from Lincoln University, New Zealand. His academic career includes previous positions as Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Economics at North-West University from 2015-2019.
His research spans interdisciplinary fields including economics, property valuation, urban studies, and regional development, with particular focus on the causal relationships between property markets and economic development. Dr Dyason investigates consumer spending patterns, disruption and recovery economics, economic impact assessment, and property valuation across both urban and rural landscapes.
