Prof. David Daniel Ebert is a Professor of Psychology & Digital Mental Health Care at TU Munich (since 2021), leading the Psychology und Digital Mental Health Care professorship within the TUM School of Medicine and Health. His career includes roles as Associate Professor at VU Amsterdam (2018–2020), habilitation in Psychology at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (2018), and postdoctoral work at Harvard Medical School (2014–2015). Ebert holds a PhD in Psychology from Philipps-University Marburg (2013) and has conducted research across Europe and the US.
His research focuses on developing and evaluating internet- and mobile-based interventions for mental health, particularly depression prevention, insomnia treatment, and trauma recovery. Key areas include health economic evaluations, prediction models for treatment outcomes, and transdiagnostic approaches. Ebert has pioneered work on digital mental health solutions for college students and farmers, emphasizing accessibility and scalability.
