David Curiel Casado

David Curiel Casado is a Professor at the University of Murcia, affiliated with the Department of Organic Chemistry within the Faculty of Chemistry. His research focuses on multifunctional molecular materials synthesis, computational studies, and heterocyclic chemistry. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Murcia (2002), where his thesis explored the preparation and properties of imidazo-, oxazolo-, and tiazolo-ferrocenos as electrochemical sensors and mediators in intramolecular electron transfer processes.

Research affiliations include the 'Multifunctional Molecular Materials: Synthesis, Study and Computation' group and previously the 'Quimica de Heterociclos' (Heterocyclic Chemistry) group. His work bridges organic synthesis with electrochemical applications and computational modeling.
