Dr David Cooper is a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on smallholder agriculture, agrarian reform, and revolutionary politics in Latin America, particularly examining populist movements, welfare systems, and poverty reduction strategies in Central America and Nicaragua. He specializes in Social Anthropology and has contributed to understanding poverty and inequality through ethnographic and political-economic frameworks.
