David Claxton

Dr. David Claxton is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology at Penn State College of Medicine. He is affiliated with the Penn State Cancer Institute, where he leads research initiatives in the Next-Generation Therapies program. His work focuses on advancing cancer treatment through innovative research approaches and clinical applications.

Dr. Claxton's research interests span multiple areas of leukemia biology and treatment:

Dr. Claxton's laboratory operates the Tissue Repository, which has banked numerous samples of human leukemias and lymphomas. These viably cryopreserved specimens support ongoing research into cancer biology and therapeutic development, serving as a critical resource for his team and collaborators.
