David Catlin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre at Northwestern University's School of Communication. A founding ensemble member of the Tony Award-winning Lookingglass Theatre Company (recipient of the 2011 Tony for Outstanding Regional Theatre and 2016 MacArthur Foundation Award), he has co-created over seventy world premieres through ensemble-based, story-centric theatrical work integrating physical, visual, and aural storytelling.
His educational background includes a BS in Theatre from Northwestern University. Catlin's creative expertise spans:

Notable productions include Lookingglass Alice (SALT Award winner), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, and Moby Dick (Joseph Jefferson Award winner for Best Production), with regional credits at Alliance Theatre and Northlight Theatre.
