David C. Teague

David C. Teague, MD, holds the title of Don H. O'Donoghue Professor and Chair at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine's Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation. He has been a faculty member since 1994, serving as Vice Chair, Interim Chair, and ultimately Chair since 2007. His expertise spans trauma care, surgical education, and disaster medicine.

Education: Medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern (1988), Orthopedic Surgery Residency at OU Health Sciences Center (1993), and Orthopedic Traumatology Fellowship at Harborview Medical Center (1994).

Research Interests: Specializes in orthopedic trauma, disaster response (including USNS Comfort missions post-Haiti earthquake), and surgical education. Leadership roles include six-year service on the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and presidency of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (2018-2019).
