David Bressler

Dr. David Bressler is a Full Professor and Associate Dean Research at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, specializing in biomass conversion to valuable materials and chemicals. He also serves as Chief Strategy Officer - International & Enterprise and leads applied research integrating industrial microbiology, biotechnology, and analytical chemistry, supported by partnerships with enzyme companies and agricultural/forestry industries.

His program leverages high-temperature free radical chemistries and thermochemical processes, resulting in multiple patents and the founding of Forge Hydrocarbons, a company commercializing lipid-to-hydrocarbon technology.
