David Bonda

David Bonda serves as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he also holds clinical positions as Pediatric Neurosurgeon in Neurosurgery and Staff Physician at Guerin Children's. His academic appointments began in July 2024, with clinical roles starting in October 2023. Dr. Bonda maintains an active presence in both clinical practice and academic research within pediatric neurosurgery.

Dr. Bonda's research focuses on pediatric epilepsy surgery, intracranial recordings, and innovative neurosurgical techniques. His work explores deep brain stimulation for pediatric epilepsy syndromes, robotic-assisted neurosurgical procedures, and outcomes following various neurosurgical interventions for brain tumors and hydrocephalus. He has made significant contributions to understanding the application of laser interstitial thermal therapy and responsive neurostimulation in pediatric patients.

His publication record demonstrates a clear progression from fundamental neuroscience research (including Alzheimer's disease mechanisms in earlier career) to applied clinical neurosurgery with strong emphasis on pediatric applications. Recent publications highlight his expertise in chronic subdural hematoma management, epilepsy surgery outcomes, and technological innovations in neurosurgical practice, particularly the integration of robotics and advanced imaging.
