David Bell is a Professor of Economics at the University of Stirling with a distinguished academic career spanning multiple UK institutions.
His educational background includes:
- MA in Economics and Statistics from the University of Aberdeen
- MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from the London School of Economics
- PhD from the University of Strathclyde
Professor Bell's research focuses on critical economic issues including long-term care financing, measurement of subjective well-being, Scottish economic policy, labor market dynamics, and educational economics. His work bridges academic rigor with practical policy applications, particularly within the Scottish context.
