David Baglee

Dr. David Baglee is a Professor of Advanced Maintenance at the University of Sunderland and Head of the School of Engineering. He holds visiting roles at the University of Lulea (Sweden) and the University of Maryland (USA). His research focuses on advanced maintenance strategies, Industry 4.0, and condition-monitoring technologies. He has supervised six PhD students and contributed to over 100 publications, emphasizing predictive maintenance, asset management, and virtual reality applications in manufacturing. Dr. Baglee is a Fellow of the International Society for Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM) and leads initiatives like the North East Maintenance Forum, fostering industry-academia collaboration. He has advised multinational companies such as Nissan and Volvo and is actively involved in editorial roles for international journals.
