David A. Hoekstra

David A. Hoekstra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the College of Arts and Sciences, SUNY Buffalo. He serves as the Director of the MA Program and teaches advanced courses in immunology and experimental design.

• Education: PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from SUNY Buffalo, Roswell Park Cancer Institute Graduate Division

His research focuses on graduate training and professional development, with expertise in immunology and oncology. Hoekstra’s work emphasizes educational innovation and pedagogical strategies in biological sciences.
