Dave Tompkins is an Associate Professor in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and a MASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, along with a BESc and BSc from Western University. His primary research focuses on Stochastic Local Search (SLS) algorithms for the Satisfiability Problem (SAT) and MAX-SAT.
