David A Gray

David A Gray is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management at the College of Business, The University of Texas at Arlington. He has been actively involved in teaching, service, and academic leadership since joining the institution, with a sustained presence in committees and administrative roles from 1977 to the present.

He has contributed to scholarly discourse through publications that explore organizational behavior, learning environments, and industrial excellence. His recent works, though limited in number, reflect a long-standing engagement with management theory and practice, particularly in HR and organizational effectiveness.

The publications highlight interdisciplinary research spanning psychology, education, and industrial operations. Themes include secure base theory in leadership, value assessment of business degrees, industrial excellence models, and contingency-based management learning. These works collectively emphasize human capital development, organizational adaptability, and strategic HR practices.

David A Gray has advised doctoral students, including Orhan Volkan Ozbek, and has served on dissertation committees. He has also contributed to university-wide initiatives including curriculum development, accreditation (SACS), athletics governance, and international student programs.
