Dave Stegman

Prof. Dave Stegman is a Professor at the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics, part of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. His research focuses on computational geodynamics, mantle dynamics, and planetary evolution. He holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and a PhD from UC Berkeley.

Research interests include the dynamics of the lithosphere, plate tectonics, subduction processes, and the thermal-tectonic evolution of planets like Venus and Earth. He employs high-performance computing and advanced visualization tools to model geodynamic systems.
