Dave Limina is the Chair of the Piano Department at Berklee College of Music and directs the Piano Department’s summer program. With over 30 years of teaching experience, he specializes in contemporary piano, Hammond organ, and arranging. He is affiliated with Berklee Online, where he teaches Blues/Rock Piano and Pop/Rock Piano courses.
His research interests focus on advancing keyboard techniques and curriculum development, notably creating Berklee's Hammond organ lab program. He emphasizes practical skills and ensemble collaboration in his teaching philosophy.
Award highlights include the 2001 Most Valuable Contribution to the Performance Curriculum Award, Winthrop Chamber of Commerce’s Excellence in the Arts Award, and multiple Boston Music Award nominations. His contributions to film soundtracks and Grammy-nominated recordings further highlight his industry impact.
Limina oversees Berklee’s performance programs, including Berklee City Music and study abroad initiatives. His authored materials include Hammond Organ Complete (Berklee Press) and instructional videos on keyboard techniques.
