معرفی
Dr. Dave Brown is an Associate Professor of Soil Science and Director of AgWeatherNet at Washington State University (WSU). He holds positions within the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, part of the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS). His primary location is Hamilton Hall (Monday-Tuesday).
Education:
- Ph.D., Soil Science, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- M.Sc., Biometry, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- M.Sc., Geography, Pennsylvania State College
- B.Sc., Electrical Engineering, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Research Focus: Dr. Brown’s research group investigates spatial variability of soil properties and processes across scales. Key methods include digital terrain modeling, optical remote sensing, spatial statistics, and proximal soil sensing (e.g., VisNIR spectroscopy). This work bridges geospatial technologies with environmental science to enhance agricultural and natural resource management.
Labs/Programs: Director of AgWeatherNet, a WSU program providing real-time weather and climate data for agricultural decision-making.
Grants/Advising: No specific grants or advising details provided in the text.
