Darla E. Kendzor

Dr. Darla E. Kendzor is a Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center College of Medicine, leading the Tobacco Intervention Research Clinic and contributing to the Health Promotion Research Center. Her research focuses on tobacco cessation interventions for vulnerable populations, health disparities, and mobile health technology applications in behavioral research.

• Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University (2007) and postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center (2007–2009)

Research Themes include:

• Automated mobile contingency management for smoking cessation
• Cancer prevention through behavioral interventions
• Contextual factors in socioeconomically disadvantaged populations
• Medical cannabis use in clinical populations
• Stress and health outcomes in marginalized groups

Recent Publications demonstrate expertise in smartphone-based interventions, ecological momentary assessment, and health equity. She serves as Principal Investigator on NIH/NCI R01CA251451 and co-investigator on multiple NIH-funded trials.
