Darko D. Kostic

Darko D. Kostić is a researcher and educator at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Chemistry, affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry. His current roles include Junior Research Assistant and Junior Teaching Assistant. Born on May 19, 1997, he holds a BSc (2018-2022) and MSc (2022-2023) in Chemistry from the same institution.

Research Interests: Focuses on environmental and analytical chemistry, particularly the toxicity of micro/nano plastics and environmental contaminants. His work explores their impact on allergic disease development through preclinical and clinical studies. He contributes to projects addressing PFAS challenges and integrates modern optical methods for analytical research.

• An Innovative Analytical Platform to Investigigate the Effect and Toxicity of Micro and Nano Plastics Combined with Environmental Contaminants on the Risk of Allergic Disease (IMPTOX) (Horizon 2020, 2021-2025)
• Twinning to Address the PFAS Challenge in Serbia (PFAStwin) (Horizon EU, 2022-2025)

Teaching: Involved in the course Modern Optical Methods (code 357H2).
