Professor Dariusz Skórczewski serves as Dean and Professor at the Department of Theory and Anthropology of Literature, Institute of Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. His scholarly work bridges postcolonial theory, Polish literature, and cultural identity, with a focus on national narratives and Eastern European studies.

His research interests examine postcolonial discourses in Polish literature, cultural trauma in Eastern Europe, and reemigration narratives. He has edited and translated seminal works on Polish Romanticism and served as editor-in-chief of Roczniki Humanistyczne. His 15 most recent publications span postcolonial theory, Polish youth literature, and the intersection of national identity with historical memory.
Advising: Supervised PhD/Master's theses on topics like postcolonial migration narratives and autobiographical borderland testimonies. International Collaborations include agreements with Fu Jen Catholic University (Taiwan) and Notre Dame's Nanovic Institute. He has delivered guest lectures on postcolonial literary analysis in the U.S. and Europe.
