Dario Arcuti, M.Sc., is a Researcher at the Chair of Medical Materials and Implants at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Since November 2020, he has focused on advancing vascular implant technologies through electrospinning and material science research.
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from TUM
- Exchange semester at University of Cape Town (Biomedical Engineering & Imaging)
- Internship at Cardiovascular Research Unit, University of Cape Town
His research centers on electrospinning of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and in-vitro characterization of vascular implants. This work has contributed to foundational developments in sustainable vascular implant projects.
Current R&D topics include:
- Electrospinning techniques for medical materials
- In-vitro testing of vascular implant functionality
He has taught practical courses on:
- Conventional and Additive Manufacturing for Polymers
- Vascular Systems
- Adhesives in Medical Technology
