Daria Kozlowska Rautiainen serves as Senior Lecturer in International Procedural Law with specialization in Commercial Arbitration Law at Stockholm University's Department of Law. She also directs the International Commercial Arbitration Law (ICAL) LL.M. Programme and teaches across multiple courses including International Commercial Arbitration, Advanced International Arbitration, and International Commercial Dispute Resolution.
Her educational background includes doctoral studies at the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law, an LL.M. Diploma Programme in Contract and Commercial Law from the same institution, a Master of Laws from the University of Gdansk Faculty of Law, and participation in the Socrates/Erasmus Programme at the University of Salzburg Faculty of Law. She also completed the Finnish Arbitration Academy program through the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Kozlowska Rautiainen's research focuses on international commercial arbitration, with particular expertise in document production procedures and protections for vulnerable parties in arbitration. Her doctoral dissertation, Obtaining documents from the opponent in international commercial arbitration, addresses one of the most contentious issues in the field. She currently participates in two major research projects: one examining employment arbitration and protections for weaker parties, and another developing methodological approaches for academic research in international arbitration.
Her publication record shows consistent contributions to international arbitration scholarship, with recent work exploring the intersection of GDPR and document production, transparency mechanisms, and human rights considerations in commercial arbitration. Her research demonstrates a strong commitment to balancing procedural fairness with practical effectiveness in transnational dispute resolution.

Dr. Kozlowska Rautiainen actively supervises master's theses and doctoral research in dispute resolution. Her professional engagements include membership on the Juridiska fakultetens utbildningsutskott since 2022, service on the SCCL Research Panel for arbitration, editorship of the peer-reviewed Finnish Business Law Journal 'Liikejuridiikka' since 2017, and previous service on the Board of the Young Arbitration Club Finland in 2017. She also serves as a visiting lecturer at universities including Uppsala, Umeå, and Helsinki.
