Professor Daphne Koller is an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University's School of Engineering. Her research focuses on probabilistic models, machine learning, and their applications in computer vision and computational biology/medicine. She leads the DAGS research group, mentoring numerous PhD students and postdocs. Notable former students include Ben Taskar (University of Pennsylvania faculty), Carlos Guestrin (Carnegie Mellon faculty), and Su-In Lee (University of Washington faculty).
