Daokun Zhang is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Department of Data Science & AI, Monash University (since January 2024). Previously, he served as Research Fellow/Lecturer at Monash University (April 2021–January 2024) and Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Sydney (June 2019–April 2021). He holds a Ph.D. in Data Science from the University of Technology Sydney (2019), focusing on 'Augmented Network Embedding in Attributed Graphs'.
His research interests span Network Analysis, Knowledge Graphs, Weakly Supervised Learning, and Drug Discovery, with applications in computational biology and urban informatics. Recent work emphasizes AI-driven drug target interaction prediction, dynamic physics system simulation via graph neural networks, and scalable graph representation learning techniques.
Key collaborations include projects with researchers in pharmacology, computational biology, and urban data science. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to innovation and health.
