- Master's Degree: University of California, Davis

Doueiri’s research and teaching focus on Arabic language, Islamic history, and contemporary Arab culture, with a strong emphasis on contextualizing global events. His courses, including the popular World of Islam, fulfill general education requirements and attract hundreds of students annually. He teaches Arabic through current affairs—discussing elections, healthcare, sports, and environmental issues—rather than traditional grammar drills, making learning dynamic and relevant.
His publications and scholarly output were not detailed in the source material, but his impact is evident in curriculum development and public engagement. He emphasizes cultural literacy and combating stereotypes about Muslim and Arab-American communities, noting that many Arab-Americans are Christian and highly integrated into American society.
- Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence (CSUSB’s highest teaching honor)
- Faculty of the Year Award for Advising (CSU systemwide, awarded by the California State Student Association)
Doueiri has secured numerous grants from federal and nonprofit organizations to support his programs and outreach. He is a dedicated advisor and mentor, recognized by students for his compassion and commitment. He co-chaired a campus-wide campaign to raise funds for victims of the 2015 San Bernardino terrorist attack, one of the deadliest in modern California history, and spoke at a public vigil, promoting unity and healing. He continues to advocate for intercultural understanding and student success.
He is actively involved in the Center for Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies at CSUSB, where he serves on the executive board. From 2007 to 2016, he directed the Summer Language Intensive Program, furthering language education at the university. His work reflects a deep commitment to transforming perceptions and building bridges between communities.
